What is ABM mushroom?

Agaricus Blazei Murill (ABM) is an edible mushroom originally from Brazil. It was popularized in Japan in the 1900s and has gained widespread popularity among functional mushroom users in the past two decades. This mushroom has been commonly used in traditional alternative remedies, as it is one of the richest natural sources of beta-glucans! Numerous clinical studies show that beta-glucans can modulate the immune system and boost host defense. They work by activating critical immune cells such as macrophages and natural killer cells. To preserve as much of the natural bioactive compounds and antioxidants as possible, our extract is standardized to 40% polysaccharides.

What does it taste like?

Agaricus is a rather mild mushroom and does not tend to overpower a dish or recipe. It has been said to have an aroma that is vaguely reminiscent of almonds with earthy tones. Its slight nutty taste pairs well with flavors like chocolate or coffee.
