Poison Apples and Caramel Dip made with Nature Restore Butterfly Pea Powder

It's time to get Spooky!

If you're looking for the show-stopping snack of the Halloween party then this recipe from Olive and Artisan is for you. The perfect witchy spin on the classic caramel apple! Start by taking a perfect sour green apple, soaking those slices in a Butterfly Pea mixture to naturally dye them into the perfect mystical purple, and serve with a delicious caramel dip! So easy and so perfect for spooky season!

Ingredients

For the ☠️ apples

30 oz cold water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup butterfly pea powder
2 Granny Smith apples, sliced
2 cups ice

For the caramel

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter

1/4 heavy cream

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine water, butterfly pea powder, lemon juice and combine. Add the sliced apple and ice. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, mixing ever 30 minutes or so or leave overnight.
For the caramel, melt all ingredients over medium heat and cook to a slow bubble, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.

Drain apples and fry off as best as possible.
