4th of July red white and blue layered jello recipe

Can you believe in just a few short days it will already be JULY?!?!

Where has the year gone?!

Well, whether we are ready or not we have found ourselves in the midst of summer with 4th of July celebrations coming in hot! (no pun intended)

We all know what that means...time for some super cute and fun red, white, and blue treats! We had one big goal with this recipe. We needed something simple to make, and easy to take to our family picnic in the park! Without sacrificing the cuteness factor of course! What we came up with is these naturally colored and sweetened layered jello cups! you can make them in advance, use plastic cups (either disposable or reusable - up to you), and bring your toppings on the side to complete at the park! So easy and totally photo-ready!

To really top it off (again with the puns) get yourself some sparkling candles! Your picnic contribution will steal the show for sure!

Without further ado...we hope you enjoy our recipe!

Instructions

Bottom layer:
Mix together sifted Butterfly Pea Powder and Stevia with 1 ½ cups of hot water, stir until dissolved. Don’t worry if there are a few clumps, they’ll dissolve. Set aside.
In a small bowl mix together 1 tbsp of gelatin with ¼ cup cold water. Once the mixture is thick, add ¼ cup of hot water. Stir until dissolved.
Combine the butterfly pea and gelatin mixtures together.
Pour the mixture into your cups filling it up to about ⅓ full. Place them in the fridge for about 1.5 hours or until firm.

Middle Layer:

While the blue layer is setting, begin to make the white layer using 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup of hot water. Mix well and set aside.
In a small bowl mix together 1 tbsp of gelatin with ¼ cup cold water. Once the mixture is thick, add ¼ cup of hot water. Stir until dissolved.
Combine the sweetened condensed milk and gelatin mixtures together. Let it cool to room temperature before pouring onto the blue layer to avoid your colors blending together. Place back into the fridge for about 1.5 hours or until firm.

Top Layer:

While the white layer is setting, make the last layer. Using 2 tbsp of strawberry powder, ⅛ tsp stevia, and 1 ½ cups of water. Mix well and set aside.
In a small bowl mix together 1 tbsp of gelatin with ¼ cup cold water. Once the mixture is thick, add ¼ cup of hot water. Stir until dissolved.
Combine the strawberry and gelatin mixtures together, allow to cool, and pour on top of the white layer. Place back in the fridge until firm.

Top your final creations with whipped cream, fruit, sprinkles, and enjoy!
