Butterfly Pea Protein Smoothie

Who says you can't have a milkshake in the morning?? 

We all have that inner child that gets a little jolt of excitement when seeing a colorful frozen beverage topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a fun straw. 

Who wouldn't want that every day?! 

But then we think about our health, or let's be honest, our waistline. Probably better to stay away from those beautiful, delicious, happiness-inspiring milkshakes right?? 


We made this wonderful cup of happiness using all healthy ingredients (well maybe not the whipped cream) that will give you all the kick you need to get to the gym or living room for your morning workout! Best of both worlds! 

We used butterfly Pea powder to not only give it a fun happy color, but also for antioxidant benefits similar to green tea! 

Feel free to customize the recipe below to whatever you have in your freezer, but the vanilla protein powder banana combo really gives this the milkshake feel!! Using a frozen banana will make it extra creamy and thick! 


Butterfly Pea Powder Milkshake Recipe 


1 cup plain unsweetened nut milk
1/2 cup yogurt (we used cashew)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 frozen banana
Dairy-free whipped cream (optional)
Ice as needed


Add milk, yogurt, protein powder, banana, and Butterfly Pea Powder to the blender and blend until smooth.
Add ice if you need it thicker or colder, and more nut milk if it is too thick. 
Option to top with some whipped cream and another touch of butterfly pea powder for some morning milkshake fun!
