Agaricus blazei Murill mushroom extract, from the fruiting body, standardized to 40% polysaccharides. No grain, no mycelium on grain, no fillers. 4 oz, 56 servings.
What is agaricus blazei mushroom used for?
Agaricus blazei was eaten as a food in the hills of São Paulo state in Brazil long before it was studied, and it has been grown in Japan since the 1960s. It is best known for its beta glucans, a type of polysaccharide, and ours is standardized to 40% polysaccharides from the fruiting body, with the lab report to check it.
Why you'll love it
- Fruiting body only, no mycelium grown on grain, which is mostly grain
- Standardized to 40% polysaccharides, printed on the label and confirmed by the lab report
- Mild and nutty, so it goes into coffee, cocoa, broth and gravy without taking over
- Non GMO, vegan and gluten free, third party tested for heavy metals
- 56 servings in the 4 oz jar
How people use it
A serving is 2 g, about a teaspoon. Stir it into coffee, tea or cocoa, blend it into a smoothie, or add it to soup, broth or gravy. Earthy, nutty, mild. Keep the jar sealed and dry.
Fun fact: Agaricus blazei is called Cogumelo do Sol, the sun mushroom, in Brazil. Other Agaricus species grow wild across North America, but this one is found wild only in Brazil and Japan.
