A Decade of Growth, Peaks, and Valleys: Our 10-Year Journey
This year marks 10 years of Nature Restore, a journey that has taken us across continents, through countless supplier harvests, and into the homes of customers who care deeply about what they put in and on their bodies. As we reflect on this incredible decade, we've grown a lot—and we've also learned some tough but important lessons along the way.
Our Founding Story: A Vow for Quality
For those of you who have recently joined our community, we wanted to share the personal story that started it all. The idea for Nature Restore was born in a health-conscious home, sparked by a personal setback. Our co-founder, Richard, began experiencing unexplained fatigue in the 2000s and discovered he had alarmingly high levels of lead and arsenic in his blood, which he traced back to contaminated supplements.
This personal ordeal became our mission. We vowed that wellness should never come with a compromise. From that moment on, we dedicated ourselves to providing accessible, wholesome superfoods and supplements that are meticulously screened for heavy metal contamination.
The Secret Sauce: Trust, but Verify
From the very beginning, we’ve carefully vetted our suppliers. But we've also learned that an organic certificate isn't enough. We've seen firsthand how "organic" may not necessarily be organic, and organic products can still contain naturally high levels of heavy metals. Heavy metals can infiltrate supplement powders during manufacturing, come from raw material contamination, or stem from environmental pollution. Their presence poses significant risks to human health, which is why we take this so seriously.
This is why testing is non-negotiable for us. We send actual powders to third-party labs right here in California for additional heavy metal testing. We also qualify every supplier with identity testing to ensure the active ingredients are exactly what they claim to be.
Much of the supplement industry’s raw materials come from China, and while the region’s expertise and scale are unmatched, it requires tight oversight to maintain quality and safety. We’ve built strong, transparent relationships with our trusted partners and conduct our own due diligence. We trust, but we always verify.
