Summer time just screams for cool refreshing beverages like homemade lemonade. But why not mix up that tried and true recipe with a little something different! Floral maybe?
Jazz from @recipes4health created just the concoction. Take a look at her lavender lemonade and tell me that is not screaming to be poolside in your cup!
Makes: 5 cups
Total time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
4 cups water
1/3 cup coconut sugar (however, brown sugar will also work)
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Nature Restore Dried Lavender Flower Buds
1 cup fresh lemon juice
Fresh mint to garnish
Directions:
Combine 4 cups of filtered water with coconut sugar on medium heat, and stir until the sugar has dissolved (about 5 minutes).
Remove from the heat, then add honey and dried lavender flower buds.
Steep the lavender for about 45 minutes.
Strain the lavender through a fine mesh strainer, then add it into a jar with fresh squeezed lemon juice.
Store in the fridge and enjoy within 5 - 7 days! Serve with fresh mint and ice!
