PRODUCT DETAILS
Tea can be smoked?
It absolutely can! Lapsang souchong tea originated in the Wuyi mountains of Fujian Province in China. It has one of the most unique fragrances and flavors because it's smoked! After the tea leaves have been dried, pan fried, and rolled into strips, they are placed in bamboo sieves and smoke-dried over a pinewood fire.
This method results in Lapsang tea's characteristic earthy and smoky aroma, similar to a cozy campfire. This medium-bodied tea is a great substitute for coffee.
Flavor profile: Dark, smoky, and roasted flavor with hints of pine and underlying fruity notes. This black tea has a very unique flavor but delivers a smooth finish.
Pairs with: Honey, lemon, milk, vanilla, maple syrup, savory dishes, spicy foods, smoked meats and fish, and breakfast foods
Ingredients: Lapsang souchong loose leaf
