Pu-erh tea originates from a protected region of Yunnan province in Southern China. A unique process of microbial fermentation gives the tea its dark, earthy flavor and color. The process removes most of the astringent (bitter) taste and helps retain freshness for up to 50 years. Pu-erh tea leaves age better over time, just like wine!
Wrapped in a deep earthy scent with underlying peaty notes, organic Pu-erh tea is a popular coffee substitute.
Flavor profile: Dark and aged. Our Pu-erh is earthy but mellow with a mildly sweet aftertaste and a smooth finish (acquired taste)

Bring 8 fl ounces of fresh filtered water to a boil (212°F)
Place 1-2 tsp (2-3g) of the loose leaf tea in a satchet or tea infuser
Steep for 3-5 minutes. Try the Eastern method by steeping for 20-30 seconds each infusion (up to 8 infusions).
