Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Cold weather calls for hot drinks, and there's no better way to warm up the family than with homemade hot cocoa. This peppermint hot chocolate recipe has an extra twist - we substitute sugar for Nature Restore Organic Stevia Powder. Next time you're craving a steaming cup of rich hot cocoa during these cold winter days, make this tasty treat in the comfort of your home. 

Ingredients:

1 cup dairy free milk or water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of stevia leaf extract powder
2-3 TBS cocoa powder 

Tiny drop of peppermint extract

Instructions:

Heat the milk/water in the microwave or on the stovetop until hot.
Stir in vanilla extract, peppermint extract, cocoa powder, and the stevia. The more cocoa powder you add, the richer it is!
Mix well until smooth and creamy. You can also froth the mixture to make it extra foamy.
Top with dairy free whipped cream and crushed candy canes. Enjoy!
