A Sweet Iced Matcha Latte You’ll Love!

Matcha green tea has a distinctive taste and is full of antioxidants. We love it, but for some, the taste is a little bitter. Which is why we took to our kitchens and after much taste testing, came up with this iced matcha latte sweetened with natural stevia leaf.

Sweet, creamy, and satisfyingly green, it’s an ideal start to the day! Matcha contains caffeine, just like any tea, but the effects tend to be less jittery than a caffeine high from coffee and other teas. Matcha contains the amino acid L-theanine which helps to prevent the low that can so often follow a caffeine hit. It can help to boost brain power and memory, allowing you to be more productive and attentive.

More importantly, matcha green tea contains antioxidants that help to support a healthy immune system and protect against disease.

Stevia is a natural plant-based sweetener, that tastes just like sugar (no nasty artificial sweetener flavors on our watch) but has zero calories. You have to taste it to believe it. Its 300 times sweeter than normal cane sugar, so a little goes a long way. A pinch is all it takes to sweeten this green glory. So add everything together, whizz it up and add the nut milk of your choice. Divine!

Ingredients

1tsp matcha
¼ cup boiling water
1 cup nut milk 
1 cup ice 
  

Instructions 

Add matcha, stevia, and boiling water to your blender and pulse until combined. Or place into a glass and whisk together. 
Add ice to the glass containing the matcha mixture. 
Pour nut milk over ice and matcha.
Stir, taste, and adjust sweetness as needed.
