Clean eating sounds complicated, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are four simple ways to get started:
THROW OUT THE BAD STUFF
Let’s face it. We all likely have some items in the pantry that are not ideal, nutritionally. Here’s an idea: Go over to the pantry and throw it all out. If you feel charitable, donate to a local food bank or your friendly neighbors if items are still unopened. Removing the temptations now makes it easier when they’re out of your home.
GO SHOPPING AND START A MEAL PREP ROUTINE
Once you’ve examined your pantry and removed all the temptations, shop for some lean meats, fruits, and veggies. Be sure to incorporate some healthy fats like avocado in your diet. Not all fat is bad! Grab some tupperware containers and plan out your meals in advance for the week. This helps eliminate last-minute cravings and you can keep track of your macros you’re consuming much easier when you creating your serving sizes.
GET YOUR SMOOTHIE GAME GOING STRONG
Creating nutrition-packed smoothies is a great way to get your fruits and green veggies. Specifically, dinosaur kale and spinach are popular to add to your fruit smoothies because they balance well with for taste. Consider adding organic superfood powders like kale, pomegranate, raspberry, red beet and acai berry.
GET MORE PROTEIN Scramble up some protein-packed eggs and throw in some diced veggies to boost your nutrient intake. Your body will thank you. Clean eating can be simple!
