Over time, there have been an infinite amount of diets, workout routines, supplements, and even surgeries crafted to help you lose weight. The problem is finding the right one for you. Everybody is different and their bodies will respond differently to different types of weight loss methods.
Trying to manage your weight is hard enough without having to find the perfect supplement or the right trainer, so it is easy to stray away from your efforts and fall back into poor habits.
A good strategy is to find little victories in your weight loss journey. Whether that be avoiding the drive through a few less times per month or committing to a short walk every other evening, these small feats produce a proud feeling and motivate you to continue further and press harder to meet your goals.
One seemingly obvious way you can obtain that feeling a small daily victory, is managing your sleep correctly. The producers of Forza Supplements have conducted a study showing that healthy sleep patterns can be key to success in your weight loss experience.
The study evaluated the sleeping habits of 1,000 people and found that ¾ of the participants who maintained regular sleeping patterns during their weight loss found it easier to lose the weight. One of the main reasons for these results is the type of eating that a sleep-deprived person will engage in.
A lack of sleep can lead you in the direction of the foods you should be staying away from due to the fact that just one night of sleep deprivation is enough to impair your decision making. The study shows that participants who received less than 7 hours of sleep per night took part in chaotic eating habits and were more prone to eating high-calorie foods.
The study suggests that 7-8 hours of sleep per night is ideal for aiding weight loss and that 10 pm is when you should aim to be going to bed because the most restorative sleep happens before midnight.
The next time you are feeling overwhelmed about all of the different companies and products that are selling weight-loss, remember that it starts with you! You are the one who puts in the work to take off the pounds.
Do not be discouraged when you aren’t losing weight right away, find your daily small victories let that feeling build your momentum to successfully losing weight.
Your weight loss journey begins with a good night’s sleep.
